Regency Spa Dublin

We booked this as we got 1 night free after paying for 2! its a 10 minute bus ride from the city but you can pick up a 3 day bus hoper for jus 13 euros! The hotel was a good location as a bus from the airport droped us jus outside and a taxi back when leaving was just 20euros. The hotel was very clean and and everyone was friendly and gave lots of help when needed. The prices of the drinks in the hotel was a little expensive as we payed more than we did in the city. The Gym and pool was free to use and the phacilities were excellent with plenty of equiptment. I would recomend this hotel if you don’t mind traveling back and forward from the city.

There is lots to do and see. I went to the Guiness factory which was very much worth paying for. We visited the wax musem this wasn’t the best but we had a laugh even though the characters didnt look like the person they was suppose to be. The Dublin Church was great to visit. The park just at the top of Grafton Street was lovely. The church restaurant was gorgeous and we loved the food! Thunder road was another great restaurant, abit like Hard rock cafe but alot cheaper! Another place we ate was Bruno’s a lovely Italian with great service! Prices varey and you can spend as little or as much as you like.

Good Hotel - shame about the leisure club.

The hotel itself was good. The room was nice and quite spacious. Reception staff were friendly. We did have a very unfortunate incident the fitness centre where one of the staff at that separate reception was rude and cheeky when we objected to giving her all kinds of personal information just to get into the gym and pool! Also towels we were given were a disgrace! They were dirty and stained. We were told that was all they had left ??? Up at the main reception they apologised but said the centre was a separate company (they also made us wear silly blue caps !).

no outside food

The Regency Hotel was amazing. It was a really nice hotel. The comfort level was great, if a little too ritzy for backpackers. The only complaint was that once in the room, we read that no outside food or alcohol was allowed in the room. For backpackers, this presented a problem because the lounge and nearby diner weren’t cheap. Otherwise, this hotel is a great place. Good family place.
