A fantastic hotel , great value.

I would certainly recommend this hotel to anybody visiting the south of Sardinia. The staff here are very friendly, very helpful and very efficent, and mostly speak very good English. The breakfast is a self service buffet, so you can have as much as you like. There is a restaurant serving fine food for lunch and dinner if you wish to stay in. The swimming pool is a good size, and the gym is extremely well equiped, I used it most days while I was there. The hotel and gardens are very well maintained, and always very clean. Nearby there is a great Pizzeria where you can get a large pizza and a beer for a few euros, and across the square is another snack cafe where you can go for an icecream or coffee afterwards if you fancy. There is a large supermarket close by where you can go to get some bread or fruit, or maybe some cheese and a bottle of wine. There is also a great beach 5 minutes walk away. I personally thought that this hotel was very easy to find. If driving just take the road out of Cagliari to Pula, and you can see the hotel from the main road I had a great week staying at this hotel, I am sure you will too.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

I would recommend that anybody staying here hires a car as there is many lovely places to see. Cagliari itself is an interesting city, and its beach at Poetta is well worth a visit. If you go south westwards I recommend that as well as visitng Pula and Nora, you drive along the coatal road ( taking in Chia on the way), it is probably the most scenic road you will have ever driven on. It is a pleasure to drive round this region, the views are magnificent, and the roads are not too busy.

Basic but adequate

This hotel is based about 10 mins from Capoterra and 15 mins from Cagliari. You can use the ARST (coach service) which runs about once every hour and only costs about two euros for a return trip - much cheaper than a forty euro taxi trip into town. Tickets must be purchased beforehand either from the depot in Cagliari or from the snack bar in the close by piaza square. The hotel has a gym (never used as far as we could see during our stay) and a small swimming pool but not much else. Misleading that their literature still refers to having massages and room service. Staff speak adequate English. Bring some good guidebooks. Also bring a good phrase book as much of Sardinia do not speak even basic English. Food wise, the resturant has a set and a la carte menu each evening. There is a very nice seafood resturant about 5-10 mins away, and at the local piaza square there is a snack bar and pizzeria which are good for lunches. There is a small shopping centre close by which has a large supermarket which was very useful. There is also a local beach about 300 yards away - although there are much nicer beaches a bit further out worth exploring such as poetto or chia. Overall it was a cheap clean basic hotel just out of town. As long as you know what you are expecting for your money you will not be disappointed.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Take the ARST coaches into Cagliari and there you are connect to other parts of Sardinia - much much cheaper than travelling by taxis.

New hotel, good service, great value for money

Hotel is great and not expensive with an easy access to Cagliari, but you need a car. The drawback is a sign posting to the hotel (May 2009). In summary, I can recommend it.

Ring the hotel for direction or have a sat-nav in the car.
