Cracking location
Great base to stay all the creature comforts that you need My only problem was that i booked through HOTELS.COM and they debited my card straight away before the stay and as they are a USA based company i couldn,t obtain a full VAT invoice receipt for my purchase, took some explaining to the bean counters at my company.

don’t book a land view room!
lovely location but pay the extra for the rooms at the front of the hotel with the sea view! we were put in one of the back rooms, which i found out after are available for people to bring their pets along. The carpets in our room were horrid and the bathroom wasn’t much better. also the walkway up the back is a thoroughfare for people to stomp upto their rooms at all hours - plus the back entrance balcony was a hotspot for people to stand on (from the room next door) and smoke - letting all the smoke in our room. the rooms awere also ridiculously hot - even with the radiators off. the staff were slightly clueless and a bit rude to say the least. with the exception of the receptionists who were helpful. all in all the hotel would have been nice had we not been put at the back. the rooms out the front overlooking the bay looked lovely but we couldn’t move as the hotel was fully booked.

Beautiful location
I stayed at the Glendorgal for a friends wedding and I couldn’t have asked for a better place. The staff were friendly, the location was stunning and the room was huge! I can’t rave about this place enough. There is a private beach with easy access from the hotel. The brasserie / bar is convenient if a little expensive. If you get a chance to stay here you will not be disappointed.
