Stay was okay
We weren’t in the hotel very long. It looked like they were doing some remodeling maybe because some of carpet looked new and the floorboards were removed. The service was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, but we had a problem with the toilet that we took care. Overall, we had a nice stay and probably would go back again if we were ever in the Topeka area again.

Non-smoking rooms - not really
We requested a non-smoking room - which we got. However, all around us were smoking rooms, so we could literally smell the smoke in our room. It was in the halls, and as we lay in bed we could smell it. I did tell the front desk when we checked out. Also, the web-site showed a charge for double queen beds, but when checking in, I was told there is no "extra charge". Maybe that is why we were put in the "smoking alley".

Good room for the money
We were just looking for a no frills place to spend the night inexpensively, eat a quick breakfast and be on our way. It came with a continental breakfast which was adequate - no produce but had orange juice. The apple juice was mostly water. Not much selection but it was enough to fuel our morning. It fit our expectations, but with a good price.
