The Patrizia hotel was in a very good position facing the beach. It was at the nicer end of the town. The hotel entrance was impressive, but the rooms were fairly basic, with a very small bathroom. The beds were comfortable and everywhere was very clean. The service was excellent. There was free parking, but occasionally it was a bit tight in the carpark.

Comfortable rather than luxurious
My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights from 20 March 2009. For a 4 star hotel Patrizia Hotel Resort & Residenza is comfortable rather than luxurious. But it is very good value for money. The staff are great - the day before our return trip, the lady at Reception helped me check in and choose our seats on the Internet. The hotel is also conveniently located. It’s at stop 19 on bus route 11 from the station.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Rimini is a good base for visiting San Marino (45 minutes by bus 72 opposite the railway station) and Ravenna (under an hour by train) When travelling in Rimini, use the bus - get a book of 10 tickets for 8 euros. Each allows the use of the bus for 90 minutes from validation. This means you can go to the supermarket and back on the same ticket, or hop on and off!
