Nice enough but a little out of the way
We went to the Tropicana in mid-October so it was pretty quiet. Not much of a price break considering how empty it was. The superior room was large, clean and nice but pretty bland. Bar and resturant were OK but priced a bit high. The pool was great and often cooler than the ocean. Staff were helpful when approached but not overly friendly. I would stay there again but prefer a place with a little more style, color and on the beach walk.
Check out some of the small resturants just a little inland. El, or La Bohemein was excellent with great soup and special entrees. Cafe de Olla was great for marinated pork tacos... Yum!

Pureto Vallarta Paradise
Hotel Tropicana is one of the best kept secerts in Pureto Vallarta. Oct is the off season, the hotel is empty however, the Hotel Tropicana provides full service to its customers. Its almost like you are the private guset of the hotel. The staff is friendly and quick to respond to any needs. located in walking distance to downtown and less then a hundred feet from the beach.
sit at the beach all day, the cabana boys will ensure your every needs are met.

Excellent
It is a beautifull hotel! The only thing is that the pictures they show you on the internet don’t show the new wing.. but location is great! staff was really firendly Although they could use a little up-grade in the bathrooms!! I wil go back any time!
