Superb hotel - the best we saw in the vacinity.
The only criticism I had of this hotel was that they did not serve any meals other than the continentel breakfast served from 07 :30 - 11:00 each morning. Great location overlooking the lake and the staff are very friendly and can speak English, German, Italian comfortably. Would not hesitate in booking this hotel again in the future as we travelled all around the southern tip of the lake looking for better hotels and although there were some 5 star hotels I still preferred the look and feel of the Palace Hotel - book this hotel and you will not be disappointed.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Hire a car and you are free to travel wherever and whenever you want. We travelled around 1300 miles during our 9day stay and paid around 100 euros in parking but this is much cheaper than how mnuch it would have cost 6 people to travel on public transport to the locations we visited.

Somewhere to "Chill out"
A delightful place to relax after a week’s walking in the Dolomites.
Hotel between Desenzano and Sirmione giving good option of choice for eating out.

A Car Is A Must
The hotel was very clean and looks really new. The pool area was lovely, the rooms were spacious all with balconies overlooking the lake. Make sure you lock all your valuables in the safe as on the first morning we made the mistake of leaving our stuff out and when we came back from breakfast we were missing 70 Euros!! We hired a car, thank god we did, it’s in the middle of 2 towns and there are no restaurants, bars or supermarkets within walking distance. We had to drive everywhere. We would definitely go back to Lake Garda, but we wouldn’t stay here again, we’d stay in Sirmione which is beautiful lots of restaurants and more of an atmosphere.
