What a view!
Hotel Vista Lago is a small and charming hotel with a magnificent view of Lake Como and the surrounding area. After what seems like an endless number of switchbacks going up the hill, you arrive at the top of the world. The service at the family run hotel was personal and friendly, and they were helpful with history of the area as well as things to see and do. A great breakfast was included in the price. We had lake side rooms with balconies (highly recommended) and could not have been happier. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
The ferry boat ride on Lake Como from the town of Como to Bellagio was a wonderful and relaxing way to see the area. After getting off in Bellagio, shopping and eating in this charming town was a cherished memory. This can be an all day excursion and well worth it!

Perfect Setting and Christine was a perfect host.
My husband and I booked Vista Lago as we were attending a wedding in Como - we thought were would be really far out but Brunate turned out to be the perfect location. Just a furnicular ride up the hill/mountain took 7 mins and they run regularly. Brunate has amazing views and the hotel is lovely, clean and welcoming. Christine was very helpful and welcoming.

Amazing Views
This was such a great find! Great views over Como, parts of the lake, a great mountain range, the Funicolare within a one minute stroll and all for a good price.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Be suspicious about the navigation system route. Stay on the narrow, but two lane street! Big time fun driving up there.
