beautiful and peaceful retreat
As a return customer, I was upgraded to the Captain’s quarters. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. It was quiet and very relaxing which is what I was looking for. I would recommend this hotel without reservation for anyone visiting Newport as it is a few minutes walk into town and yet far enough away to be a quiet retreat.

not impressed
Hotel was overbooked when we arrived. The manager gave us a take it or leave it or we will find you another hotel speech. We could have the room we paid for the next night, but not upon arrival The room I paid for was 2 double beds with an ocean view. My first night I received 1 king bed and a cot. I had to call my husband who was supposed to be joining us later that evening and tell him to come the next day. There was no place for him to sleep. The hotel took $200. off my bill before I left but that was only because my husband said our experience was awful when we checked out.
