Call Ahead
When we arrived at the Goa airport there was no one there from Cidade de Goa to pick us up. The airport tourist helper called them and they said they could pick us up but it would be in 1 1/2 hours. We had to pay Rs 500 for taxi. We complained to the manager but he continued to say it wasn’t their fault over and over. They never did apologize. Poor customer service! Our room was a little noisy but it was in a great location and had a beautiful view. We liked the restaurants especially the nicer one (forget the name) and the prepaid taxi’s out front. The pool was beautiful and clean. Overall, we did have a nice time at the hotel.

. Everything was great except the Casino
Becareful at the Casino, it is careless about paying winners and cashing out correctly. Otherwise we had a great time.

Cidade De Goa is in North Goa. However, it seemed that most of the shopping and other activities are in South Goa.

Undecided on return trip
Location was lovely and peacefull our delux room 102 which was probably one of the best rooms with beach access and in easy reach of all facilities. Pool and outside areas were kept immaculate, the staff were wonderfull. The hotel itself was a bit tired looking.probably 3*+. There were people there with tour operators which were All Inclusive also there were people around the pools which were NOT actually staying at the hotel and just using the facilities which was very inconvienient as deck chairs seemed to be a problem because towels were placed on most of them very early. Also there were groups of business men whom like to stare. The beach was fine and cleaned at least twice a day the best thing about it was it was private with no beggars. Food was just ok with nothing spectacular on the menu even the Lobster was pretty plain and expensive. Wine was equiv to £18 a bottle that was just regular chardonnay. Average cost of meals for 2 with wine and G&T’s was about £40-£50. Which made the All Inclusive people quite envyable. Over all not a bad hotel but with a very mixed market., probably be better if they decided which was the best market. Tourism or Business
Buy your wine in Happy Hour 6 30-8 30 and get the barman to keep it in the fridge, they wil put your room number on it.
