Great First Time Experience With Microtel
I’ve never stayed at a Microtel before, but Columbia, MS, has few options. I had heard this location was new, so that seemed to be a confidence builder. This hotel is very, very clean; at least from my experience. Modern, and well kept. Again, having never stayed at Microtel before, I didn’t know what to expect. Room was certainly clean. Definitely a "small" feel to the room - yet I expect that is why it’s called "microtel" - the surprising thing was that though the room was small, it was impressively efficient. The layout was such that you had all you need right there in front of you. Wish Bathroom vanity was a bit larger; that was the main downside if there was one. Walls seemed thin in that you did hear some noise just a tad bit more than usual, but it was surely tolerable. Great lobby; very near WalMart and there were some fast food stops across the street. I’d have no problems staying here again - however - I’d not want to be here with my whole family; not enough room. A personal business trip - you’d be in great shape. Microwave in room; nice closet, and work desk had enough space for laptop. I look for clean rooms and properties that are well kept, no "worn" look or feel, and well maintained - this Microtel fit that bill in every way.
