Get the right room
This is a great place to stay for a visit to DC, but make sure you DO NOT get the rooms numbered (X)08, etc. These rooms are VERY NOISY, and could be found to be unacceptable. We loved the staff and their service. The room’s appearance and facilities were superb. But the room was very noisy due to highway that was directly outside the window and some construction downstairs. There are some grerat rooms that are no noisy. Be sure to check.

Great location but some suites were next to busy road
Georgetown Suites Harbour is very well located just off M Street; but many of the suites are at eye level to a busy and noisy elevated road. The suites are of various standard and size but are let down by a somewhat worn and dated appearance.We made 2 reservations and 1 of us was moved to the adjacent Georgetown Suites (part of same facility). The suites in this building were larger, better equipped and much quieter. The buffet breakfast was very welcome and the staff want to help.
Traveller's tip on dining
We ate at Clydes on 3 consecutive evenings(5 minute walk away on M street). This is a great place to have a drink and enjoy superb service and good food.
