Great Hotel
We stayed at this hotel over the 4th of July. Safe area, right off the main State Street which has lots of shopping and places to eat. Walking distance to the beach for a fun fireworks show. The hotel room we were in was quiet and had recently been remodeled. The hotel staff was very friendly and gave great food and activity recommendations. I would stay there again if I were going to Santa Barbara and wouldn’t hesitate to tell my friends to go there as well.

Excellent!!
I’m married and have 2 young kids. We are currently living in Norfolk, VA and we took a vacation to Santa Barbara to visit my brother and his family. We could not have asked for a better location at such an affordable rate!! In the middle down town Santa Barbara where there is plenty of shopping (for the misses) and restaurants (for me) to experience. A couple of nights my niece watched the kids and my wife and I were able to have some drinks on the strip.
When planning things to do in Santa Barbara I would not include going to the beach as one of them. As kid growing up in Santa Barbara I knew that already but my wife had to see for herself. The water is frigid cold and the sand is course and dingy looking. For kids there is plenty of parks in the area and you could always take then to the SB zoo.
