Hotal Viva, Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico
Like all but the newest hotels in Mexico, Viva needs some maintenance. Having said that, it’s a good hotel with staff that care about their guests.
For a non-Mexican the experience with "security" in Mexico is very different, also driving in Villahermosa is a risk because of crazy drivers.

Calinda Viva Villahermosa
The 1st night we were unable to sleep as the room next door had small children who were screaming and playing hide and seek until 12 pm. We called reception 3 times and while they did send security to quiet the family down, it did not help. Needless to say we travelled 12 hours the next day on almost no sleep. The 2nd night ( on our return to the htl ) the receptionist tried to charge us extra upon check in. The 1st room we were assigned was a ground floor with a sliding door that did not lock so we moved and the 2nd room was fine.
The hotel is centrally located and convenient.

Good Hotel in Villahermosa
The hotel staff are warm and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and most of the beds are kingsize. For me the beds are a little too hard, i prefer a softer surface. The menu never changes but the food is of good quality. Breakfast is buffet style so you can have a really good start to the day. The swimming pool is large but not deep, so it’s safe for all the family and there is a section specially for small children. Internet access is wireless and free, there is a business centre if you don’t have a computer and the cost of usage is low.
Traveller's tip on nightlife
The hotel is very close to the shopping mall "Tabasco 2000" and very close to a lot of good restaurants.
