The hotel is attached to a casino which is being refurbished. We therefore found that we were woken by workmen and the interior was a building site. The staff are excellent and compensated for the state of the building. If you intend staying there in the next year, I’d suggest you find out first of all whether the building works have been completed. The food in the restaurants is franchised and was poor - however, again, the staff were totally charming. A new restaurant is due to open later in the year so all in all, the hotel is in a state of flux. We have stayed at the hotel several times before and always enjoyed it so hopefully the building works will be beneficial in the long term.
