Want to get away from it all and have a totally relaxing holiday?
Parco Torre Chia is a complex of little townhouses where you and your luggage are transported to your room by golf buggy. Our room was clean and comfortable and it had a fridge and hairdryer. We had a lovely grassed area by our terrace to sit in overlooking the tennis courts. The pool (not heated) area was nice, although we didnt use it as the beech was only 5 minutes away with free use of the hotels towels, sunbeds and parasols. My only slight criticism was that meal times were a little chaotic as restaurant only opened for dinner between 8 - 9.30pm. The food was very nice (eat as much as you like) but if you didnt get there at 8pm it was hard to get a table until around 9pm when most of the food had gone. There was also no internet access in hotel so not able to book return flights on-line. I managed to lock myself out of the room one day, but the maintenance man was called and I was back in my room within 10 minutes. You definitely need a car as there is not much to see nearby. There is a supermarket a few minutes walk away and the locals are very friendly. The weather was very nice when we were there in late September.
Traveller's tip
If you hire a car from Cagliari, not all the hire car companies have booths in the airport arrivals. We went with Avis and the office is outside the terminal, turn right and a 5 min walk. Its not signposted in Arrivals so I did panic initially, but my husband went outside and spotted the signs! If you are returning to the UK on a Sunday its hard to find a petrol station open so worth topping up the day before.

great hotel, would definately recommend it.
We had a great time at this hotel, the rooms are lovely and we had a beautiful sea view, really clean and spacious with a nice bathroom and super balcony. The pool was huge but was freezing, it isnt heated, so it was probably about 18 - 19 degrees, too cold for most people to swim in which was a real shame. There is a beach nearby. You do need a car, there isnt much in walking distance, maybe two restaurants. We went end of season so it was very quiet, but cant imagine there being much more to do at high season, which is great if you are after a quiet holiday.
Traveller's tip
Hire a car and be prepared to drive out to restaurants and other beaches, there are some gorgeous beaches and views you can get to only by car.

Quiet relaxing hotel
The hotel was very goos, lovely infinity pool and friendly staff. The hotel buffet is good but simple cuisine apart from the dolphin which I was mortified to see on the menu! Good beef and fresh fish always on offer. Rooms are a good size. There isnt much to do in the evening at the hotel but they do provide a free shuttle bus service which takes you to the nearby Meridien hotel where there is live music nightly on ana impressive stage. Be warned that, although there is a good tennis court, it costs EUR 25 to hire. This was something that particularly appealed to us when we booked the hotel but wouldnt have been so appealing if wed known about the cost. Pretty area but very quiet and siestas are taken very seriously so not much life between 1pm and 5pm.
