"A well kept Vancouver treasure"
The hotel is conveniently located to several walkable, great neighborhoods. Rooms are outstanding in their decor. Very clean. Hippo the French Bulldog will greet you upon your arrival. This is a pet friendly establishment. A wonderful boutique hotel at a great price!

Great hotel in a perfect location
Nothing to complain about here. Feels like a private residence, not a hotel. 2 Blocks from Skytrain. Lots of restaurants. Gas town, Yaletown, GM Place, waterfront all walkable. First class accommodations.
Lennox Pub nearby on Robson is a good lunch spot.

Lovely boutique hotel in middle of downtown
I was greeted at the door by a friendly doorman who guided me to the desk. In moments, the desk had not only allowed me to check in early, but upgraded my room to a large corner room with a fireplace. My room was handsomely decorated, and included a marble bathroom, entered through twin french doors. It had a large soaking tub which I took advantage of in the morning. The desk staff called to see if my room was satisfactory and continued to be gracious and accommodating throughout my stay. The hotel, though small, had a pool, a complete work out room, and a lovely buffet breakfast served in a lavish space. It was a 5 minute walk to Robson Street and all of the downtown, including the waterfront, was only minutes away.

good experince
The hotel is a boutique type hotel. Very clean and well run. There is no louge to sit in though which would have been nice. The staff were great. The rooms well kept. A friend with us was given a room with a full kitchen, which is great to entertain. The hotel is in a good area. Parking is difficult and I would recommend calling ahead so that you know exactly where to park. Also I wish that I had known that it cost 30.00 dollars per night to park and it is necessary to use valet parking.

Great service!
My husband and I enjoyed a getaway weekend at this hotel. The desk staff and concierge were extraordinarily helpful with ideas for restaurants and activities. The room and lounge area were both great places to sit and read when you got tired of walking around Vancouver.

Nice, new, roomy...
LHermitage is a brand new property, so everything was new and clean and nice. The rooms are very spacious, especially the bathroom, which has a nice deep soaking tub and separate shower. Theres a nice flat screen TV with satellite programming. The bed was good quality and comfortable. The room also had a small refrigerator and an in room security safe, big enough for a laptop, which youll need with the free wifi internet access. Each room also has a large outdoor balcony with table and chairs. The view wasnt great, but its still nice to hang out there, surfing the internet and drinking coffee. The hotel staff is very friendly, especially the front desk manager who checked us in. This is a great hotel. You pay a little more for it, but all of its amenities are worth the extra cost. The only thing I had issue with was the parking fee, which seemed a tad high at $25.00, but at least you can self park and have access to your car (unlike some other downtown Vancouver hotels). Its also a great downtown location, close to everything. Ive stayed at a lot of downtown Vancouver hotels, and trust me, this place is a nice value. One last thing, theres the convenience of a IGA supermaket on the ground floor of the same building, plus theres a liquor store just around the corner, not to mention a nice tap room bar across the street.

Quite A Surprise
I had no idea what I was doing when I made the reservation, I just thought I would try a new hotel for a change. This place had great contemporary style, nice appointments, a library, a gym, a lounge area, and free wifi. This place might be catering to the upcoming Olympics, so it was nice to try it out before the prices go up! The one thing that freaked my girlfriend and myself was when we came back the first night to find the lights on, the fireplace on, the radio on, the air conditioning on, the top comforter missing, and decorative pillows missing. I called the front desk saying that nothing was missing, but that it appeared someone was in our room. I was assured that there was someone in my room performing "turn-down service". Having never been in a hotel with this service, it felt odd at first, but I got used to it. So if you book here and have never had "turn-down service", you will be in for a pleasant surprise!
Traveller's tip
This place is so close to everything, it is so easy to walk everywhere. If you do not want to walk, there is transit everywhere. Its located in an urban paradise!

Beautiful place to stay
THe Hotel is right in the down town heart of Vancouver and the perfect place to sightsee from. Taxies are very reasonable or if you like to walk there are many sights with walking distance. The only flaw was no room service and their Continental Breakfast was very over priced for what they served. Restruants were not close but a Grocery store was three minutes away. The Hotel staff were excellent, the security in the hotel was top notched. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy and the bathrooms were great. I would reccomend the Hotel LHermitage and would stay there again when in Vancouver

Very Impressed
LHermitage is a wonderful boutique hotel in Vancouver on the best shopping area Robson Street just a couple of blocks away from the finest stores. The lobby was cozy and there was a pitcher of water flavored with fresh fruit or vegetables available daily. The reception/concierge, and bellman were very friendly. We stayed in a one bedroom premium queen suite with a balcony, fireplace, two plasma televisions and fully equipped gourmet kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the shower had good pressure, and the rooms were a good size, though the bedroom could have been a bit larger. The balcony was nice, but the step was too big, and you had to be careful coming back into the living area. The bath products were nice, a blow dryer was provided, as well as a French press for coffee. The fireplace was electric and not very realistic, but was still nice to have. There was a turn down service, but they didnt set up the sofa bed for the kids. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel!
Instead of ordering room service, you can purchase breakfast items, i.e. baked goods and orange juice around the corner and eat in the kitchen area. Only three stools are provided at the counter, so if you are a total of four, someone will have to eat in the living area. Coffee and tea are provided, as well as a coffee machine, French press and electric tea kettle to boil water.

Amazing!
I loved every minute of this hotel. From the second we walked in they were extremely helpful. They let us check in early, suggested places to eat, shop, and more. The location was perfect for us too. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. The room was also amazing and very clean. I will definitely come back here the next time I travel to Vancouver.

Was upgraded to a luxary suite!
As it was our honeymoon they surprised us with an upgrade. Our suite contained kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom with its own washing machine and dryer. Lush!!!! The hotel was very clean and we loved the modern theme. Only down fall was the view from the window but it was a good location for shops and bars.
Traveller's tip on shopping
There is a market and liquor store around the corner - visit before you stay as there is no room service or mini bar but good sized fridge.

Great Location and Hotel
Location - sits in between the heart of Robson Street and Yaletown - easy walking to stores, restaurants and the water, very convenient. Hotel - new, smaller boutique, nice room size and bathroom, great amenities and staff.

Comfort and class
A little slow on providing coffee (took me two requests) and the evening turn down service was spotty, but everything else was quite pleasurable and reliable.

Great Stay!
Small boutique hotel located in a condo building. Check in at 4:30 p.m. was merely a suggestion as we did not get into the room until 5:30 p.m. or so. Kind of irritating as it was a long flight. Great location and the facility was fantastic. A suggestion . . . do not go to the breakfast on the 5th floor. It is 17 dollars per person, with absolutely no indication of the cost prior to sitting down. Lesson learned, but overall a great place.
Fold out couch for the kids, with full kitchen and washer and dryer.

Excellent Value with Expedias Deal
Professional and helpful staff. Large, modern, comfortable rooms. Location was good. We were there only one night, but it would be very comfortable for an extended stay. It did ask about availability during the Olympics, and was told they are booked solid.
Traveller's tip
There is a grocery store on the corner, with an ATM, and very good, inexpensive asian restaurant around the corner, Next Noodles.

Delightful place to stay in Vancouver
We were very pleased with the LHermitage. It was quiet, clean, very comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and helpful regarding tours, places to eat, and getting around town. The hotel is convenient to several bus lines so public transportation is easy if you can walk a block or two. (We did not have a car and I understand parking is expensive. You dont need one if you will take the bus. Many routes.)) It is a comfortable walk to Gas Town and also Chinatown. It is about three blocks from the better shopping on Robson Street if that is your thing. Best value in town we could find and glad of it.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
There is a mini mart right next store to grab breakfast - and to grab a sandwich for lunch or late supper if you want. There is also a liquor store on the block that has a nice selection of wines.

super secret find
We were so surprised at the quality of this modern but cozy hotel. The location was perfect for shopping on Robson Street and was within walking distance of local tourist sights. We walked to Stanley Park and rode the tram, but used a public bus back since the return walk is uphill! A local Noodle Restaurant was fabulous. The visitor center down by the cruise ship dock, gave us the info we needed to take the bus over to the markets (food and lots of shops) on Granville Island. The hotel room was a small studio with a gigantic upscale bathroom! The soaking tub was fantastic! We even had a small patio with a dining set and privacy near the outdoor pool. We didnt use, but heard others enjoying both the pool and hot tub. We just loved our little patio and hearing the sounds of the fountains into the pool. Occupancy was completely booked our August weekend and everyone was trying to check in at once. Many did have to wait past check in time, but were gracefully directed to a beautiful lounge with gas fireplace overlooking the patio and pool to wait. All in all, a good location, excellent front desk courtesy, spotless rooms obviously recently renovated. And when we headed out in the rain, we were offered a loaner umbrella by the doorman/bellman. And thanks to Expedia - the price was great for a 4 star hotel in a major city.
Traveller's tip
We explored and enjoyed Vancouver for 2 and a half days before our cruise to Alaska. We came from the East coast of the US and wanted to avoid any last minute storm related delays. We had been told to head in early and enjoy Vancouver as a bonus. It was a great idea and we are glad we did it.

Quiet, comfortable and warm - just like home
The LHermitage is strategically located yet priced reasonably. The rooms are quite comfortable and well appointed. The hotel staff are very sensitive to you as a traveller and have the ability to throw in an extra touch without your asking. Breakfast, by my standards may be expensive for the lack of variety against the price, but there are several restaurants around the block where one can satisfy their needs. Overall though, I would go back for more.
