Third Stay
I love this hotel. This was my third stay and I was there for 13 days. 13 days in a Hotel is a very long time. But somehow this hotel makes you feel at home. The room I always choose, and yes the staff is that accommodating whenever they can be, is good size but not huge, but is it extremely quiet, at the end of a hallway and has all the amenities and space a traveler could want. Huge soaking tub, w/shower. Some rooms have huge walk in showers instead of tubs, so state your preference. They even offered me, at no charge, a bigger room with a balcony overlooking the park, because of my long stay. I stayed with my room. The staff is great! You dont need to speak German, they speak English, and most are multi lingual. The breakfast selection is huge and all you can eat. Saves you from buying lunch, and is open until 11AM. Great area, two block to UBahn and trams. Walking distance to Stephansplatz. Safe area to walk in. Numerous cafes, and restaurants. Will be staying there again.
Dont overpack, if going in late fall and winter, lots of layers. Good walking shoes/boots. Walking is the way to see the city, but the cobblestones can wear you down. You can avoid all the "Fake Mozarts" selling tickets etc by just ignoring them. Vienna is a city where most of the population dresses up, not down, so anything T shirts with logos, unless your a child, jackets with Team names on them, white sneakers, make you stand out like a sore thumb.

Visiting Vienna!
I recently had a 3 day stay in Vienna - my first time. It was wonderful. The K&K Palais is in a great location to explore the sights. Its easy walking distance to pretty much everything (including the subway and the CAT train). The staff were friendly; the breakfast plentiful; and the rooms comfortable and well appointed. I was very satisfied with this hotel and have no complaints! Vienna...well, its just beautiful and there is so much to see that really 3 days was not enough, particularly if you want to tour all the museums and galleries. Put on some good walking shoes and enjoy.
Be aware - Smoking is still allowed indoors in a lot of venues / bars.
