Away from the noise but near the action
Las Golondrinas is a quiet hotel off the beaten pathbut within a 5 minute walk to all the action on 5th Avenue and the beach. ther are several resturants nearby as well as a carry out and the Mega (groceries/cloths/electronics ect) only a block away. A tasty breakfast is available every morning at the hotel and is very inexpensive. The only real down side for us was that we had gotten a 2 bedroom apartment that had a kitchen with stoe refridgerator microwave ect. Except there were no dishes or cookware so dining at "home" was a take away affair. A friend of ours had a standard room and it was very nice.

Clean and quiet, good location
The hotel is only a couple of blocks away from the main street (5th Avenue) and the beach is a few more blocks away from there. The room was very clean, but the furniture and decoarations looked a bit old. There was a nice big flat screen TV, though. The atmosphere of the hotel is very quiet and relaxed. There is a nice pool, but it is in the shade most of the day, so you have to go to the beach if you want a tan.
