fab location
service was very impressive, the setting for the hotel was idyllic with peacocks wandering in the grounds and drinking pimms while watching the boats sail up the thames.

Lovely location
I booked this hotel as a surprise getaway for my partner. The hotel is in a lovely location and set in attractive grounds. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable with a good view of the river and grounds (including rabbits). The hotel is on an island across the river from the car park (connected by a footbridge) and is about 25 minutes walk from Bray village.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Windsor is a 15 minute drive away. The castle is well worth a visit and theres a very nice (slightly expensive) tearoom across the road from the castle. If you are planning to visit the castle again within a year its worth picking up a flyer about return visits - you complete it and get it stamped and if you return within a year with some ID you can get in again free of charge.

SERVICE LACKING IN WARMTH
DESPITE THE BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS THE HOTEL REQUIRES SOME ATTENTION AND THE RECEPTION AND RESTAURANT STAFF SADLY LACKING IN WARMTH.ALSO I LEFT AN ITEM OF CLOTHIING IN MY ROOM WHICH I DID NOT DISCOVER MISSING FOR 24 HRS YET THERE WAS NO CALL FROM THE HOTEL STAFF WHO MUST HAVE DISCOVERED IT WITHIN A FEW HOURS OF ME LEAVING.THERE WAS ALSO A HASSLE IN THEM TRYING TO LOCATE IT!
