canterburys best hotel
This is the second visit to this hotel. The lodge sleeps up to six adults and is excellent value for money. Its a ten minute drive into canterbury and set in lovely grounds. The lodge is modern and fully equiped to cater for all your cooking needs. The manor house is where the swimming pool and sauna are. The restuarant is a little on the expensive side but has a wonderful friedly bar.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
remember to take your swimming gear with you. when we went into the pool we were the only two persons in there. we were in there for over two hours it was like our own private pool

Would definitely go back.
Perfect for relaxing. The lodge was very well equipped and although there were only two of us, it would have been ideal for two couples or a family of four. There are also plenty of places to visit in the area. On site food was a bit limited and the takeaway service, had we wanted to use it, was very limited and expensive for what it was, but there were two pubs serving decent food within a few minutes drive. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

impressive and homelike
Broome Park goes beyond hotel; its a really nice home away from home. We stayed in a two bedroom detached lodge, out in the woods behind the golf course. It was quiet, roomy, well-stocked, and very clean. There were 3 large, flat-screen TVs - one in the living room, and one in each bedroom - with free cable. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, there were extra sheets and pillows. The only "negative" was that our king-size bed was a little firm, and there was no internet in the lodge.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
While off the beaten path, Broome park is only 15 minutes from Dover, with its Castle, beach, and docks. And 15 minutes in the other direction will take you to Canterbury for the Cathedral. If you go to Dover Castle, join English Heritage and stop on down the coast at Deal Castle and Walmer Castle as well; both are nearby and a lot of fun.
