A convenient stop-over
The Hilton is conveniently located on the outskirts of the city not far from the A7 motorway and thus a convenient stop-over point when driving to southern Germany or further. There is also a bus stop beside the hotel for those wishing to visit the city centre. Although this was now our 6th visit to the Hilton we have not taken advantage of many of the facilities. However the evening meals are very expensive as is breakfast unless booked as a special deal. We had on this last occasion booked and paid in advance for breakfast on a special Expedia promotion but on our arrival we were told that breakfast was not included. The receptionist soon corrected this, with apologies, when we produced the confirmatory e-mail of which she took a copy. However when arriving for breakfast we were told breakfast was extra although once more this was corrected, with apologies, on production of the e-mail, of which a further copy was taken. The hotel appears to have introduced a pets policy. We heard a dog barking in one of the guest rooms until late into the evening and again first thing in the morning.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
To save the cost of an evening meal pick up a pizza at one of the filling stations just inside the Luxembourg border where, incidentally, diesel is the cheapest in Europe.

Standard Hilton service
This was the only hotel that really did conserve soap and water by not changing towels daily unless requested. Room service delivered ice when requested, but I would prefer the usual ice machine on each floor. Internet service was good, but too expensive.

Restaurant was good, service efficient. There are no other restaurants available unless one drives or takes bus or taxi.

Good Value
A bit of a way outside the City Centre, but found this good value for money. Very polite and attentive Staff.
