Great place in a great location
My daughter and I chose this motel based on the other reviews, and we were glad we did. Everything about it was lovely. Yes, it’s true that the ocean side looks out not over the ocean, but over the marina, but the view of all those colorful sailboats was grand. This motel is in walking distance from a variety of good restaurants, a fishing pier complete with friendly locals, the Redondo Pier with shops, restaurants, and boat rentals. We rented a water bike/paddle boat and paddled out to visit the sea lions who make their home on a large dock out in the bay. The front desk staff was always helpful, and the motel did have a good supply of toiletries and items that would have been easy to forget, or difficult to bring on an airplane. The only reason I marked it down a bit on condition/maintenance was that they were replacing one of the elevators, and the other elevator was having problems. We got stuck in it, which was terrifying, but the staff had us out of there within a few minutes. It was a little cool out to use the pool, but it was relatively clean considering the huge windstorm we had one of the days we were there. The hot tub felt great, and the lounge chairs were a great place to lie back and get some sun. We can’t wait to go back.

Good price management lacking
Everything was good..BUT there was an all night "ladies only" party across the hallway which finally wound down about 4 AM. Management was called and they did a really wimpy job of trying to keep the noise down. No sleep that night for us.

Good price for location
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Only one complaint - I requested a crib for my baby when I made the reservation but it was not in the room when we checked in. I had to call twice and wait an hour before we got the crib. My baby was very tired by the time she had a place to sleep. Otherwise the service was good and the location convenient.
