Ok experience
This is definitely not one of your five-star modern hotels. The location is right in the heart of Seoul with a decent restaurant right next door, however, you’ll end up taking a cab or subway everywhere you go anyways. The staff is hit or miss; they can be rude, but there are definitely some very polite and helpful members on their team. For the price, the taxi-driver told me there were better places at the same price. I could moderately recommend this place, but if there’s a quality hotel at the same price, go ahead and take it. I guarantee it’ll be newer with a more up-to-date experience.

Good service, location
The hotel is undergoing remodeling so not all rooms are the same. They didn’t have my no-smoking room so, I had to stay in a smoking room with no AC the first night. After that, they moved me to a non-smoking room with AC which was a small but good room. The staff is excellent and helpful. The hotel is 1 1/2 blocks from the subway station and the Sejong Hotel where you can catch the inexpensive airport shuttle bus.

Charming, smiling personnel
The Astoria is a small but extremely friendly hotel. The staff are smiling and welcoming and ever ready to help with directions and suggestions. A very enjoyable stay and I will certainly stay at the Astoria when I am next in Seoul.
