Rural location close to Lucerne

The hotel is situated in a very pretty location on the final outskirt of Horw, with chalets and cows with bells nearby, and a view of Mount Pilatus from the dining terrace. The room was functional and clean, though rather characterless. The evening meals are rather expensive, though the enormous main course was enough. NB The hotel is listed as ’garni’ but was doing evening meals in high season. The hotel is very good value compared with Lucerne, and there is plenty of parking across the road. A good place for a stopover or a few days, but have an evening meal elsewhere.

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

The hotel B&B is very good value, but go elsewhere for your evening meal as the hotel restaurant is expensive.
