Oops, nobody told me that...
Room was clean and everything was great...except for the trains that pass directly across the street form the motel several times both nights I was there.

Needs improvements
Hotel was rundown, noisy outside with train and traffic, doors open to parking lot which is not safe. Hotel staff were wonderful - friendly, helpful. Breakfast was skimpy. Higher in price than I would expect from a hotel in that condition and I was surprised that a La Quinta would be rundown and shabby looking.

No Tell Motel
If all you want to do is shower, sleep and take off, then, La Quinta, Midland is for you. If a slimy shower, questionable cleanliness of the bed, damp carpets and odd smells bother your sensibilities, you probably should look elsewhere. The recession surly shows here and will ultimately hurt the motel if they don’t pick up the pace.
