OK place to stay

It was an OK hotel, but not exceptional. We were in town for the Gator Bowl and it served its purpose. If i have any complaints it would be that it is a little out of the way.

Won’t stay there again!!

To much money for this hotel. Breakfast area not very clean. Very hard to find at night. Staff not helpful. The maintence had to change our T.V. out 3 times they all didn’t work, and our phone jack was hanging out the wall. So for sometime we didn’t have a phone. They said they could not switch our room because they only had a few pet rooms. Nosiey guest at the pool till late hours.

Fine for a short stay

We stayed just one night while attending an event at Jax stadium. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean but basic, though it had a microwave and fridge, and it was close enough to the stadium to be an easy trip. It’s kind of hard to find off the highway, and hard to get back to, but quiet and good for a short stay.

this hotel is nothing special but it’s clean and comfy. It’s a little tough to find coming off of 95.

Run as far as you can from this hotel.

The front desk people were very angry when we checked in. The room did not have a hair-dryer and we called the front desk for one, they were angry and told us if you want a hair dryer than come to the office and get it. The next day at 7 am they run out of breakfast items. No coffee, hot water, cups, waffles, cereal, and fruit. Wow. We called the HJ corporate office to complain about the service and food, their answer was that the breakfast was complimentary and they were not obligated to provide us breakfast. WOW GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

We would most definately use this hotel again

We will return any time business or pleasure brings us back to Jax area . Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable I would and have recomend it to friends

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

you can spend a lot more but get no more, located with in easy access to everything

Relatively close to downtown and attractions

The stay was great. The hospitality was wonderful. Although it is close in proximity to resturaunts it is not so much in walking distnace. A cab or a car is needed. All in all it is close to the downtown area. Very reasonably priced and I received a cheaper rate by booking through expedia than with the hotel directly!!!

Not Suite

The Suite that I booked was large but offered no extra amenities. Everything about this hotel gave me the creeps. There were no vending machines for a quick snack. Its location IS central yet difficult to get to considering it is on the North side of Salsbury. I’ll do my best never to stay here again.

Not impressed

Our hotel stay was less than satisfying. Our room was dirty first of all. There was an old, wet, dirty washcloth hanging from the showerhead when we checked in. There was one member of the staff that was extremely rude when we asked for an extra pillow. It was just not an enjoyable stay. Luckily we were no in the hotel very much.

The hotel was just a few blocks away from the meeting I had to go the next morning. The room wasn’t comfortable but at least it didn’t smell like mold. The staff was extremely nice for a city like Jacksonville where people is very rude. The continental breakfast was amazing, a little bit of everything and the pool was nice and clean, not enough towels, but you get what you pay for. We knew it would not be a 5 stars hotel and it only spent one night. I would go back for a short stay just because I didn’t have to deal with some "bad attitude staff" and the breakfast was awesome. Rooms had fridge, safe box and microwave.

Our experience was an accumulation of little problems

Our experience was one problem after another, such that I started a list of them almost immediately. No problem was a killer, but the accumulation meant I cannot recommend the place. The breakfast is very run of the mill, definitely not the advertised deluxe. The housekeeping was negligent (one bar of soap only - dirty coffee pot, etc.). The mattresses were OK, but the sheets didn’t fit and it was impossible to tuck in the bottom sheet, leading to very uncomfortable sleeping.

Good decent hotel for economy price

Good decent hotel with breakfast included, cable and wireless internet access. Room size is big in some rooms as well as the bathrooms. Nothing to crib about. My room did not have drawers for keepin gclothes or a closet. Only sore point in my stay.
