Kauai’s best value....
This condo-tel has a great location for doing activities going north shore or south shore.....Room was clean, great view of beach from balcony, and the BBQ grills make it easy to have fresh grilled fish every night! Generally the surf is rough at Waipouli beach, but it was not during my stay......even did some snorkeling! This place can’t be beat for value, location, comfort......It’s not the grand hyatt, but if you’re busy with activities like I was, you don’t need all the service extras that you would pay for......This was my second stay there, and I will visit again!
I did the most challenging activity......Kauai Skydive takes you up to 10,000 Ft above the south shore and Pacific Ocean......Absolutely a great experience..... I know It’s not for everybody, but if you ever wanted to skydive, you can’t find a more beautiful place on earth! Free fall for 30 sec. hit 130 mph....then when the chute opens, you have the most thrilling feeling of gliding down over the Pacific and south Kauai......What a view!!!!! .......The blue of the ocean, Waimea canyon; and the gentle landing at Port Allen airfield....it was worth every penny of my $338 spent on the jump! You really haven’t lived until you do Skydive Kauai!.... CHALLENGE YOUR FEARS........YOU WILL BE THRILLED!!!!!!!

Aston Islander on the Beach
We loved this hotel! The location was so close to everything including the Coconut marketplace with it’s great shopping and restaurants and a wonderful club with live music called "Trees". The grounds of the hotel were lovely and we liked that it wasn’t a highrise so we were close to the beach. We upgraded to an Oceanview room and we did have a lovely view of the ocean. The pool was nice with a bar that had a good Happy Hour nightly. Our room had a fridge/microwave/dishes/silverware which enabled us to eat many meals on our balconey. We found a great market just down the road called Foodland with a wonderful deli that featured fresh fish, sushi and salads and we would take that back to the hotel for dinner. We also used the convenient computers in the lobby to check our e-mail daily so we didn’t have to bring our laptop. The only downside was the beach was not real swimmable near the hotel but we rented a car and visited so many great beaches during the day that it didn’t matter.We were so impressed with this hotel, especially for the price, that we’re already planning our next trip back to Kauai!
