Met my expectations
This hotel lived up to my expectations. I had read reviews on trip advisor and thought that the hotel was very good value for money. An added bonus was getting upgraded on arrival to a room overlooking the garden with a nice balcony. This made for a quiet nights sleep. Friendly staff, although I did receive a call from reception at 11.03 reminding me check out was at 11am - I thought this was a little weird. Overall pleased. 7 mins to nearest tube though so wouldnt return.

Decent Value
The Grange Rochester really felt like decent value for the money. The location was pretty convenient, with Victoria Station in easy walking distance. Also, Parliament and the West End were not far, though the neighborhood was still quiet. I did have trouble with internet connectivity in the room, but that was my only complaint.

could not sleep
Although this hotel was really clean and staff welcoming it was difficult to sleep in the room due to excessive heat. It had been a hot weekend and after a whole day sight seeing we returned back to our room tired and ready to relax but the room was absolutely boiling. The windows would only open a little and we could not really get a breeze because we were facing a courtyard surrounded by other buildings and no view. So with no breeze and no air-conditioning it was very uncomfortable and our son could not sleep most of the night and neither could we. We awoke the next day very tired and the room had not cooled down at all. There was a fan but it was small and made no difference. We did have a nice breakfast there.
Good location
