Clean room good price

overall the room was spacey and clean. water pipes, toilet flush from other rooms was very loud and disturbing at night. the area around the hotel is shabby but it suited my purposes for a business meeting close by and the price was reasonable for London

for shopping and dining out choose a hotel closer to the main shopping streets.

Good location but facilities relatively limited

We were in London for two days for a family wedding and chose Days Hotel on the Hackney Road because of its location close to the registry office and where the wedding reception was going to be held. Check in took quite a while as there was only one person on duty and lots of people checking in. The lift was the slowest I’ve ever been in and the stairs were quite a distance from the lobby. The room itself was fine, with a very comfortable bed and reasonable sized bathroom. The TV has a good choice of channels, but the teletext didn’t work. We had a meal there on the first next and the menu was fairly limited, but reasonable value and the service was good and very friendly. It took a while to get served at the bar and there seemed to be a problem with the till while we were there. Overall, I thought the hotel was fine for what we needed, but would not be great for a longer stay.
