Superb location
Would highly recommend the hotel. Location superb being so close to the Opera House and Bridge. A highlight is getting a view from your window of the Opera House, a must request. Concierge very helpful and knowledgable. Room clean and up to Marriott standards. Could not find much to fault.
Bridge Climb excellent and a visit Hunter Valley was amazing and only a two hour drive away!

Better than I expected!
After reading the recent reviews, I decided to go in with somewhat low expectations. As I walked into the hotel I was immediately pleasantly surprised. Beautiful lobby. We arrived very early (8 am) and was greeted friendly at the front desk, was given a room right away, and was given access to the Executive Lounge right away. I was extremely happy with our room and our view of the Opera House, we were on the 31st floor! The EL is on the 30th floor. The hotel is located in the BEST location and we walked everywhere, the Rocks, Darling Harbour, Opera House, Botanical Gardens, even across the harbour bridge). It was perfect. We did have a little problem with the keycard de-activating which was slightly annoying, about 4 times we had to go have it reactivated.. not sure why. The 2 people we dealt with all week at the concierge were friendly but the last one on our last day was a little short with us and unfriendly. The Executive Lounge is the way to go! We enjoyed our mornings and evenings there and were able to email our family and check on recent news stories and view our pictures from the day with the free wi-fi. The staff at the EL was top notch - very friendly and welcoming.
I recommend getting the pass for the Hop on-Hop off bus and using it to see the city and get off the bus at Bondi Beach and hang out for awhile. Also, take the ferry to Manly Beach and explore that area. Definately go see a show at the Opera House and it worked fine to buy your tickets online and pick them up at will call - they didnt even ask me for my id or receipt.
