Getting to the Hotel
Need more than one person @ desk for check-in. Other than that, well pleased with hotel and its accommodations.
Traveller's tip
We did not bother to map quest our trip to the hotel since we have a car navigator. It wasn’t until we were on the road to find out that the waterfront address can not be found. I called the hotel and was informed that the location is fairly new and is not available as yet on navigation satellite. We were given an address on Oxon Hill Road and was told to call and they would direct us to the Hampton Inn & Suites National Harbor. Other than that, well pleased with hotel and its accommodations.

Outstanding Staff
The hotel was nice. The staff was extraordinarily friendly. The decor leaves a little to be desired it’s a little outdated. The surrounding area is a new harbor and there are lots of things to do.

"Great Value" for the area
We were in the National Harbor area for an industry conference. While there were no restaurants at the hotel there were several within walking distance. We were skeptical when we arrived because our room was located on the second floor directly above the lobby. We anticipated noise for most of the evening and were pleasantly surprised. We did not hear anything and the hotel was full. Because of the proximity of this hotel to the DC area I would recommend this hotel to be close enough to be a base point for vacationing but yet more affordable than comparable hotels in the DC metro area.
