Smelly room
We were not expecting much from this hotel before arriving as all we wanted was a base to discover the lake area. The room we were given had a horrible smell in it although everything looked good and clean. There were no other rooms available and the manager on duty got it very hard to acknowledge there was a problem. On the plus side the breakfast did set us up for the day ;)

Nice place
Hotel is nice and staff extremely friendly and helpful. One disappoint is that there is no transport to and from the airport at Brescia. Hotel is only 15 minute drive away from this airport, but yet it cost 50Euros to get a taxi there. Hotel is approx 3kms from the Old town but very easy to get to on the hotel bikes.

Too far away
The hotel was extremely nice and clean, but the location let it down. On the map, it seems very close to Sirmione’s Old Town. It actually took us an hour to walk there, and there were hardly any bars or restaurants near Hotel Arena. I would only recomment Hotel Arena if you are looking for a very quiet holiday
