Lush Paradise
We stayed here for 1 week for our honeymoon. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, and supplied the room with fresh home-made cake. A little unusual but certainly welcome! The suite was finished & decorated to an exceptional standard, as was the hot tub area and the property as a whole. It trully was a wonderful place to stay and we heartily recommend to other travellers. The location is quiet & peaceful and not overlooked by any other properties or rooms.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Book a 4WD vehicle for at least one day of your total stay. Normal rental cars are not permitted to the summit of Mauna Kea. A helicopter trip over the volcano is a must if you want to see lava flowing. Helicopter flights are generally cheaper from Hilo than from Kona. Public transport is non-existant on Big Island so you will need your own transport to get around.
