P-Hotels Trondheim: great value and quality

We found the hotel to be very comfortable, clean and conveniently located. It was about a 10 minute walk to Nidaros Cathedral and to the train and bus stations. We loved that they gave us orange juice, sandwiches and apples every morning (they leave them at the outside of the door). Also, the sodas in their vending machine were cheaper than just about everywhere else in Norway, except in certain grocery stores. The only thing we didn’t like so much was that for a couple of nights (2 of 4) there was a lot of noise outside the hotel because people were out late at the pubs around the hotel. However, we are not sure how commonly this occurs at the hotel because the week we visited was the final week of classes for university students and also the Sunday before was St. Olav’s day (a national holiday), so the noise may have been from celebrations related to those events. Overall, the beds were comfortable, the room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Was most impressed!

The hotel was very convenient to the downtown area and well worth the money. I felt very comfortable there and would certainly stay there again and recommend it to others.

Affordable, clean place in Trondheim

I visited Trondheim May 16-18 to celebrate Norwegian National Day (the 17th), because I am partially Norwegian on my dad’s side. We had a great time. The P-Hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from the Trondheim train station, and is across the street from two restaurant/pubs. It is very centrally located, and we found the service friendly, the rooms clean, and the free WiFi worked fine. Our room faced the street so it was a bit noisy the night before May 17, but we came to celebrate, so we didn’t mind; the other night was quiet. This is a good tourist hotel, and I recommend it highly.
