Surprisingly good

A stopover on the way to deliver daughter back to University. An impressive building and friendly and efficient. We stayed in some lodge type buildings 1 minute walk from the main building. Clean warm and tidy. We also ate in the main hotel, the large eating area had very little atmosphere but we had two meals with a bottle of wine for £29 and the food was pretty good. Overall not bad at all and ideal for our stopover purpose,

Tired and getting a bit shabby

Stayed for two nights and picked this hotel because of the leisure facilities. Pool was small as was fitness room, I have seen smaller but 3 people would make the pool crowded. Room was nice but overall the hotel is getting a bit shabby. The cooked breakfast was poor, you get better at a Premier Inn. Couldn’t honestly recommend which is a shame because it once was a very good hotel.
