Parking lot is a pain

The only thing about this hotel that would cause me to think twice about staying there again is the parking lot. It surrounds the lobby and main floor of the hotel, and it’s poorly designed and very tight. Spaces are too small, the layout is confusing, and you have to insert your paper ticket into the machine to get through the entrance gate (on one side of the hotel) and the exit gate (on the other). But there’s no real security, because the gates don’t keep out pedestrians, and wouldn’t prevent someone from breaking into your car. This all seems a bit unnecessary, because parking is cheap and plentiful in Kingston.

Decent hotel

Clean room, nice view of the harbour, great location. The room wasa little expensive for what you get, but decent.

Traveller's tip on dining

Woodehead’s restaurant across the street from the hotel serves excellent wood-oven pizzas. WindMill’s Cafe on Princess street has great brunch.
