wouldn’t recommend

We did 2 weeks self-catering for 2 adults and 3 small children in August. The main issue we had is the hotel is geared for All Inclusive guests. This means the food available is low quality and the drinks range available is limited. For example, one kind of White Wine in the bars. However, if it is All Inclusive you are after, then it did seem to be a popular place for such tourists. On the cleanliness side, and this is something a lot of self catering places suffer from, there is NO SWEEPING BRUSH. So it is very hard to keep the place so you can walk comfortably in bare feet. This was made worse by the fact that they only cleaned the room every second day - although it was supposed to be 5 times a week. On the positive side, there was no 6am hogging of poolside loungers. If you can get out of bed by 11am you should be OK, but most will be gone. The pools themselves are spacious and clean. There is a great sand pit (actually a beach volleyball court) for small kids to play in. The location is close enough to the beach - maybe 5 minutes walk tops. And the beach is worth it, with great waves for the body surfers.

The all-you-can-eat-or-drink dinner in the Hotel’s El Bolevarde is worth a go, ONCE.

Good Value Resort

I was impressed with the standard of the apartments and they were fully equipped for self catering. Unfortunately the beds were uncomfortable. The restaurant had a great breakfast buffet and was available from 7.30am till 11.00am.

Traveller's tip on shopping

If self catering be aware the local supermarkets are quite expensive.
