Second stay
I went to Berlin earlier this year and picked this hotel based on the previous reviews on Expedia, when I was looking to go back I was pleased enough to go back here. It’s quite basic, but it’s clean and comfortable with great transport links. The Samariterstrasse U-Bahn station is right outside the door and Berlin is so well connected that it makes this hotel accessible from any of the three airports as well as all the major train stations.
The local area is thriving with life and it’s a fascinating place to be, for a very good and inexpensive meal in this area I would recommend the Fliegender Tisch on Mainzer Strasse which serves wonderful rustic Italian food.

great location and great value for money
A great loaction the U bahn is just outside the hotel which takes you staright to Alexanderplatz - so easy to get around! Lots of restaurants and bars in the area which offer great value for money. In the heart of East Berlin and lots of atmosphere. The rooms are lovely, with great showers- would go back any day!

Excellent Value
Best Western Hotel City Ost - amazing value, very good service, as clean as any 4/5 star hotel. The breakfast had everything you could want but somehow wasn’t really appealing? The subway is right outside the hotel door so very quick to city centre (Alexanderplatz) with lot’s of meal options. Very recomendable.
Must do the Insider Tour ’fat tire bike’ tour. Great value, see all the sights and get all the stories in one enjoyable day!
