Changi Village-A Far East Hotel

Comfortable and Convenient

It was my first trip out of the country, so I didn’t know what to expect for a hotel on the other side of the world. The staff was -very- friendly and -very- hospitable. They all seemed really willing to help out and meet our needs. The room was clean and cleaning managed to make it more immaculate than it was the day before. Also, there are a ton of eating places right outside of the hotel and I can tell you that the food was deeeeeeelicious~! And there’s a bus stop right across the street that will take you downtown or to the train station for connections. And the people that stay out and around, near the hotel were also very friendly. It’s in a very safe location as well. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay here and it will be where I stay whenever the time to head back to Singapore arrives. Thumbs up, Changi Village Hotel. Well done and well played.

Dress cool. It’s hot, but it’s WAY more humid than hot. I live in the tropic, depressive South and I was not prepared for this kind of humidity.

Great Hotel near Changi Airport

We were on transit and wanted to stay as near to the airport as possible so as to limit the taxi ride to and from the airport. This is a great hotel as it was only about 10-15 minutes drive from the Changi Airport. What’s best about booking this hotel is that they provide an hourly FREE shuttle service to and from the airport, saving taxi fares. The hotel itself was very bright, clean and the room spacious with a good size bathroom too. We stayed in the most basic standard twin room and the single beds were larger than the norm and was very comfortable. The reception staff was very polite and helpful and so were the concierge staff. Just a stroll right of the hotel were a long row of open air eating places. They were very neatly arranged and clean looking and has all sorts of nationality food there. There were also several pubs and bars but we did not have time to frequent these places so cannot comment on them. Unfortunately due to very brief time we had in the hotel we did not get to check out the facilities they provide including the pool and gym. But for the short time we were there [arrived late at night and had to check out early in the morning] we were very comfortable and felt very safe. Its a great hotel especially for those only transitting in Singapore.

Changi village hotel is a brilliant hotel. The staff are very friendly and extremeley helpfu. A great hotel with easy access to the city via the free hotel shuttle bus that leaves on the hour 24/7.Considering the Taxi fare SGD 15 each way, it represents a saving of SGD30 a day not to be sniffed at if your there a couple of weeks! lotys of local places to try the local food yards from the hotel and very cheap. Having said that the food in the hotel is top class and very reasonbly priced, cheaper than eating outside in the UK.Great swimming pools. fantastic BBQ areas with international buffets. Great if you like fresh sea food. Or try the other in house various restaurants. It’s not the first time We’ve stayed and it won’t be the last. If you use this hotel as a stop over have at least 3 days in Singapore, contrary to all belief its a vibrant place with something to do for all ages!
