Barcelona Murmuri Experience
On our first trip to Barcelona we were so fortunate to have chosen the Murmuri. It was everything we hoped for - very professional service, tasteful decor, beautirful neighborhood at the quiet northern end ot the Rambla. Great walkling distsance to many attractions and public transportation if you should choose that means. Cabs were easy to get. The hotel staff was beyond excellent in answering questions and directing us to restaurants, shopping etc. We would definetly stay there again. This deserves many stars.

Very impressed!
We would definitely stay at the Murmuri again; the room wasn’t huge, but very well appointed and stylish, with everything you really needed.
Traveller's tip on dining
The hotel concierge recommended a fish restaurant at the marina which turned out to be full of tourists and very expensive. I suspect he may have earned a commission from the restaurant. The next night though we found the Cerverceria Castelana on the Rambla Catalunya which served great tapas , had a really buzzy atmosphere and was very reasonable. Go there instead!

The staff were extremely helpful and would recommend this as very good place to stay
The staff were extremely helpful and the rooms were very comfortable. There is a roof terrace with sun loungers and a table and chairs which seems to be a very well kept secret as there was no information in the room about it. We found it by accident as I thought I remembered reading something on the web-site before we left and it was lovely to have somewhere to sit in the sun after a mornings sight-seeing. The hotel is in an excellant location for restaurants and cafes and also the Barcelona Tour Guide bus (both red and blue routes) and a metro station is 50m away. We were surprised that there was no menus for the hotel restaurant in the room and thought that this was a marketing oppurtunity missed. The only down side to the hotel is that the cleaners do not seems to start cleaning the rooms until the afternoon which seemed rather late if you wanted to go back to your room early in the afternoon, but they were very good.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Buy a two day ticket for the Barcelona Tour Guide Bus, an excellant and easy way to get around the city, getting on and off as you please at the various sights along the way.
