Not impressed
The hotels reception is 2 streets away from your room which is fine if your told this, but your not. It was a goose chase to get our keys and when we arrived our room had dirty laundry left by the maid who also had not left us any towels or toilet paper. We tried to get out to the pool which we then found out was closed for the season which we had not been told before our trip. The reception is only open a few hours during the day and evening so on the unfortunate night we lost or apartment key, we were stranded with no where to go. We tried calling the emergency number given to us in case something like this happened but got no answer. The following day the guy from reception explained someone would be round to change the locks. After waiting in the apartment all day for him to come, he didnt. WE were then told for safety reasons, as our key had went missing, that webwould be changed apartments. This didnt happen either.
Try to go self catering. It means you can go to any of the near by grocery shops and pick up something for lunches and breakfasts rather than eating out 3 times a day. Its cheaper and give you a bit more freedom

No reception so its hunt the key
The property was based very central to the main part of Salou’s bar district. When arriving at around 5pm it became apparent that there is no reception to these self catering apartments. Only with the help of the owner of a bar downstairs was I able to locate the office that manages the place around 5/10 minutes walk away. Not practical if you are arrive with your family for example. The apartment though clean had only been partialy serviced and I needed to immediately leave the place again to find toilet paper. It seemed like I was only half expected and the apartment was only allocated at last minute. There is a very nice pool on site. The apartment is well location for buses to Tarragona, Reus, La Pineda, and Cambrils. There is also a Plana bus operator booth on the main strip which advises on many tours to Barcelona also.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Go to Cambrils for harbour side seafood restaurants and a nicer resort period. Go to Tarragona for the beautiful old historical quarter and colliseum next to the sea.
