Riga rocks!
Riga is a great place to visit if you love architecture, history and are looking for somewhere a bit different. The Hotel Elizabete is very modern, tasteful and has great service on every level. It was a pleasant stroll to the old town and art nouveau district, past some very attractive parks or through the flower market. Autumn was a great time to visit as it wasnt too cold, the trees were beautiful, and there were very few tourists around. On the Sunday we walked through the old town and hardly saw another soul, and the mistiness and quiet just added to the atmosphere. If you stay at the Elizabete do take the opportunity to visit the Espa spa at the sister Reval hotel up the road - amazingly luxurious for just 10 lats. Also go up to the top of the same hotel for cocktails in the skyline bar. We didnt eat an evening meal at the hotel, but breakfast was an ample buffet. My only very small gripe is the translucent doors to the bathroom which dont close properly - smacked of being over designed, and thank goodness I ws staying with a friend of 37 years, otherwise it could have led to embarrassment!

definetely 2 thumbs up
Hotel is very conveniently situated. Easy walk from the Old City. Rooms are very clean and well decorated. However, most of the rooms look in towards a main courtyard. I found this slightly off putting. Thus quality of the hotel in overall makes up for it. My room faced the park on the main street. (those rooms are in limited numbers). breakfast buffet is quite comprehensive. Great coffee. I should also mention that the best food that i had in Riga was in the hotel. I can easily recommend this hotel for its quality in service and good design. Friendly and helpful staff. I will definetely go back there if i have the chance to visit Riga again.

Fantastic Hotel
I picked this hotel when a group of 7 of us went to Riga on my brothers stag do. We all thought the hotel was excellent and a highlight of our trip. Check-in was quick and easy and all the staff spoke very good English. All our rooms were on the 5th floor facing the inner court yard. The rooms were a good size and very clean, although I did find some dust on a couple of the shelves, but in my eyes that was minor. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was nicely decorated and very clean. There was a free complementary guide to Riga included in the rooms, which we found very useful for deciding were to eat out and where to party. There is a small gym at the hotel, with sufficient equipment to put together a Cardio or weight workout, although I was disappointed they did not have a rowing machine. There is also a sauna in the changing rooms, where you are able to find towels as well. Breakfast was good with a decent selection on offer, included made to order eggs and omelettes. I also recommend eating at the hotel restaurant as we had a lovely meal there and was excellent value for money. All in all, a great experience and I would definitely stay there again or at any one of the other Revel Hotels in the Baltic States.
This hotel is a about 5 minute walk from Club Essential and a 10 minute walk from La Rocca, which are 2 of the biggest clubs in Latvia. Also the old town is a short 10 minute walk away,
