This place is a dump

After checking in, I left this place and stayed elsewhere even though I had already paid for 3 un-refundable nights...It’s that bad.

Please treat yourself to nicer while in Santa Monica

Ok. it is the cheapest motel in Santa Monica.. probably why you’re looking at this page right now. Definitely the reason i stayed there. But please, the city is so nice, treat yourself to nicer. This place was so run down. Tiny room, Screws sticking out of sink, shower doesn’t drain, no hotel service (no fresh towels, soap and shampoo, ect), no fridge or amenities. The staff is nice and does a nice job of trying to make you feel welcomed and make sure you know how to get around Santa Monica. The motel is on a bus line that takes you everywhere you want to go. But staff is also really unprofessional, even a little bit overbearing. Every time i left the hotel they stopped me to asked me if i turned off the A/C. Night time employee knocked on my door at 11pm to ask if i was interested in buying a CD Walkman. The best thing about the motel? the fact that i really liked Santa Monica. Worst thing? Bugs! i kid you not. There were bugs on the floor at night that crawled from cracks between floor and wall. Crickets mostly and little red bugs that i’ve never seen before. Because of the bugs i couldn’t leave anything on the floor, so i threw my dirty cloths in the dresser. I forgot some clothes, and later called the motel to ask if they could be sent to me, they said they didn’t see anything in the dresser.. Guessing Walkman guy is selling them room-to-room now. hah. But really. Motel was pretty ridiculous. Don’t bring anyone you care about there, you’ll look like an idiot. i just thank god i was traveling alone.

Scared to Stay...

My friend and I wanted a cheap hotel. Well, we got one alright. We actually probably paid for the room the it was worth. The front desk was literally a desk in a room, and her reservation list was in a notebook. The door to the room didn’t lock properly. The room was a room, 4 walls, a bed with no headboard, the ac didnt work, the lights didn’t work, there was a note in the bathroom that said do not flush the toilet paper in the toilet! We, as two young girls, were not comfortable staying at this motel and had to leave and find a room somewhere else. At that point, that’s all I wanted. So I returned the key and the woman asked me if I wanted a refund, I said yes and then they didn’t want to give it to me! Mind you, I didn’t care at that point if I got one at all, but don’t ask me if I want one and then give me a problem about giving it to me! Overall, the place was dirty and skeevy. I do NOT recommend it.
