A marvellous place to stay. Would love to go again!!
We stayed at the Hotel du Parc after a busy day in the Alps. We could not believe the quality and ambience of this large hotel. Rooms were especially pleasant, bright, clean with pristine duvets. Close to the train station and within walking distance of the charming town of Martigny. We ate at the hotel which offered delicious meals at competitive prices. Choices included horse meat or ostrich, but we stuck to pasta and salmon with vegetables and salad which we enjoyed. I would highly recommend this hotel. This was our first time booking with Expedia. I would use them again....just walked out the door on our departure when they said..."Oh you have come with Expedia...Good bye!!!"
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
We went purposely to Martigny so that we might visit the St. Bernard Museum located there.We had the opportunity to pet the beautiful dogs. We also browsed the museum which was excellent. As Canadians we were made very welcome. Do not miss seeing this very special and interesting place if you are in Switzerland.

Very nice
My son and I came in for the Tour de France. Got in late. Check in was a breeze, asleep in 15 minutes, and slept for 12 hours without waking. Having never been in Europe before, I heard bad stories about the bathrooms. All was fine, shower was great, etc. Most reasonably priced place we stayed at in our week long europe stay.

Great Service
This hotel is a bit of a walk from the train but the staff could not be nicer or more helpful. The rooms were clean and the views were basic but lovely. Great bathrooms. There was not any a/c in the room, but thankfully, it was cool in the evenings. We did not eat onsite but they have a full restaurant. This is the ideal hotel if you are driving.
