Average

Food and accommodation OK except for the fact that we were put in a room which was to be used as a fire escape, a key to our room was outside of the door to be used in an emergency! Also residents in lounge walking around in dressing gowns having used the spa. Not what you want to see when dressed for dinner. Photograph gives impression of large grounds-not so.

We’d definitely stay here again

The only minor area for improvement was the length of time we had to wait for our breakfast - on one of the days (50 mins). Other than that the indoor & outdoor pool were superb, it was great to have a steam room on site as well. It was slightly more expensive than a regular B&B but well worth it, as you got a lot more for your money. Our bedroom also had a brand new bathroom suite, which was very nice.

Traveller's tip

It all added to a great holiday in the Isle of Wight, with great views, amazing food & a nice relaxed pace of life.

Not good value for money- a bit tired

This hotel is in need of some refurbishment - updating of bathrooms etc. Looks a bit tired in places and Spa area (plunge pool, jacuzzi, sauna etc) is very small. Outdoor pool not very appealing-a bit old and also not very big. Other than that the breakfasts and service were very good. Newspapers were at extra cost- not what we expected given the cost of the rooms! Older more immobile people should realise there are no lifts to the rooms.
