Very nice

We had 2 nights in this hotel and everything was very nice. Hotel smart, well presented. Staff were all very nice especially the ladies at breakfast. Room was good; clean, a good size and it was quiet. Breakfast was excellent - a good choice and food all hot and fresh. A little slow to get a seat on the Sunday morning - but hotel was totally full to capacity. Our only complaint was that the children were not allowed to use the swimming pool (kids could only use it betweeen the ridiculous hours of 1-2pm) As we had specifically booked a hotel that had an indoor pool, this was a disappointment as it wasnt clear on the hotel information page. Receptionist was apologetic - but couldnt change the rules. Apart from that disappointment - the hotel was great and we would highly recommend.

Value Break

Hotel was very "sprawlin" therefore it was a long way to walk to the rooms, this was mentioned in other reviews before we booked therefore it was expected. The layout of the Hotelas a conference centre with many rooms and conference/wedding rooms dictates the nature of the building. Once this is accepted the hotel is an excellent place to stay for a "chill out" week end which is what we required. Leisure centre, fitness, snooker for entertainment and in spite of all the wedding the service and food in the resaurant was very good. The attention to dietery (Coeliac/Gluten intolerant) was accomodated without fuss to remain with a varied menu. Check out was a little slow with only one receptionist at the main check out time, however, this was the only minor negative point. The price paid through expedia was very good value for money and we cwertainly received our chill out weekend.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

You would actually be better asking for a room as far away as possible (albeit a long walk) if you require a quite time as the wedding parties produced expected noise in the rooms closer to reception, they did stop after 12.00 midnight.
