Conference Hotel

Stayed one night at Wyboston Lakes, very adequate as hotel for travel stop over.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

We used it prior to day at Jonathan Palmer Driving Day at Bedford, took 25 mins to get to circuit.

Good infrastructure, needs better staff and service

The hotel is good for golfers and conference delegates. Regular hotel guests seem to get less attention, as the hotel appears to be geared mainly to golfing and conference parties. Main complaints: small, but important problems (lack of internet service in room, e.g.) were not well-handled by hotel staff; information about hotel resources (times breakfast available, e.g) were given inaccurately in hotel literature and by staff; restaurant and bar area were overcrowded with noisy parties.

Pleasant if unremarkable

Stayed here only because all the local budget travel hotels were fully booked. Seemed to mostly cater for conferences - I was asked which event I was attending when arriving at reception. Standard of room similar to a PremierInn but smaller - (reminded me of University halls of residence) so absolutely fine for a bed for the night, although more expensive. Extra cost may be worth paying if you had chance to use the gym and pool on offer.
