I would use this hotel again
This hotel needs a bit of updating to the exterior and public areas.but don’t let this put you off. It is well situated, very clean with comfortable beds, nice garden and well maintained pool area.

Eating out, you can’t go wrong in the marina area, excellent restaurants reasonably priced.

Great location
The staff is amazing- very close to the bus to go to other areas in Portugal. The Marina is walkable distance (5 minutes). Wonderful beach:)

Never a 5 star
This hotel was acclaimed as a 5 star, having stayed at various hotels of that standard, i can tell you that at best this is a 3+ star hotel. That said it does have a pleasant pool area, but staff are generally surly, and the hotel is more than happy to try to rip you off, ie, 4GBP for a sprite, which I discovered after returning for another, was effectively half a can. As I say, I have stayed in many hotels, but can’t ever recall paying 8GBP for a can of sprite, even in the most luxurious of resorts, which this definitely is not.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
There is a supermarket, across the road, selling all cold drinks for a few cents each, well worth the 1 minute walk.
