Great location... bland decor... fine for parking
Jurys is one step up from the Travel Inn circuit but seems to attract the same hen/stag/wedding clientele at the weekends. The location is great if you want to potter around the funkier North Laine area rather than the twee Lanes - its just that the last step of your walk back is a near vertical set of concrete steps - tiring with all the shopping you will be carrying. The hotel is opposite the station car park - which is a bit pricey but secure and close. There is a "vacant lot" car park nearby which charges 20 quid for a week (in coins only!) which may be better, if riskier, value for a Fri/Sat/Sun stay. Room decor is "hotel bland". Hey Jurys - how about you buy some photos of Brighton to put on the walls rather than dull "corporate daubs"?

Would Use Again
We stayed here for 4 nights because we were attending a wedding nearby and thought wed revisit Brighton at the same time. The Receptionist mentioned that she would give us a quiet room which I imagine was because there were some hen/stag parties going on there at the weekend. It was indeed, very quiet and the fact that there was no bath, only a shower, didnt bother me at all as I prefer showers in any case. The hotel is just behind Brighton Railway Station so is ideal for getting into the North Laines, the centre of Brighton and the beach whilst being just far enough out to avoid the noise of people enjoying themselves in the street at night. Our only complaints would be having to wait a long time after requesting an iron and, more importantly, having to pay 5 pounds an hour for internet access. This, even though just down the road was a café where you could have unlimited free access, so this is where, of course, we went when we wanted to get online. I cannot imagine why, in a hotel which obviously caters a lot for business people, they would charge for internet access. Its a shame because, our indignation at this charge, coloured our view of an otherwise very good hotel. Still, overall, a good, comfortable, well-priced stay and we would certainly use again although we wont bother to take the lap top next time.

Definitely worthwhile
Staff were very friendly over an extremely busy weekend. Room was very clean and comfortable. Location right next to Brighton station made getting around a pleasure.
